HONOREE - H.R. Scott

H.R. holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from Glenville State College and a Master of Science in agriculture econimics from West Virginia University. His career with the West Virginia University Extension Service began as an extension agent in Wood County in 1991. Although hr was primarily the agricultural agent, he supported the 4-H program by providing expertise in agriculture and natural resources and by assisting other WVU faculty in conducting a strong county camping program. As the Wood County Program Coordinator, H.R. served as a liaison with the Wood County Commission and the Wood County Board of Education and maintained a budget that supported all county programs. H.R. was advisor to the Wood County 4-H agricultural programming groupssuch as the Livestock and Horse Committees, as well as, the young adult farmer programs and the Wood County Master Gardeners. He became the extension agent with agriculture and natural resources responsibilities in Monongalia County in March 2008. In that role, he is advisor to the Monongalia County Master Gardeners, Morgantown Farmers Market Growers, County Livestock Association and works with the 4-H and FFA youth agriculture programs.
